Do you have a disability or are you threatened by a disability? Or are you looking after a child or a person with disabilities? The diverse services of integration assistance are intended to help enable participation in all areas of social life.
The services of integration assistance are intended to enable people with disabilities to participate comprehensively in all areas of social life.
The services of the integration assistance are divided into 4 service groups:
The responsible institution for integration assistance bears the costs for the services. Your income or assets can be taken into account.

- Benefits for participation in education
- Benefits for participation in working life
- Benefits for social participation

- When applying for integration assistance in a special form of housing (formerly: residential facility), it may be necessary to submit an application for basic social security. (See links)

You can receive integration assistance if
- you have a disability or
- You are threatened by a disability and
- As a result, you are significantly restricted in your daily life.
You can apply for integration assistance from the institution responsible for you.
- You should contact the integration assistance provider responsible for you.
- You will be advised there or you can submit an informal application straight away.
- The competent authority may ask you to fill out a form and submit additional documents.
- The authority carries out a participation procedure, an overall plan procedure or both procedures in order to determine your individual need for integration assistance services and possible other participation services. You can request that someone you trust be involved in the overall plan process.
- When all the documents are available, the competent authority will check whether and which benefits you will receive based on your information and the assessment of your needs. This also includes checking whether and to what extent your income and assets are taken into account.
- After your application has been reviewed, you will receive a notification.
The processing time for your application depends on various factors. Please contact your responsible integration assistance provider, who can give you more detailed information about the duration of the process.
However, the authority to which you have submitted your application must determine within 2 weeks of receipt of the application whether it is responsible for your application. If the authority is not responsible, it will forward your application to the responsible body immediately. You will be informed of the forwarding. If the authority does not forward your application, it must determine and provide your need for support as quickly as possible.
If an expert opinion is necessary to determine your needs, the authority must decide within 2 weeks of receiving the expert opinion. If the authority does not need to obtain an expert opinion, it will decide within 3 weeks of receiving your application.
However, the authority to which you have submitted your application must determine within 2 weeks of receipt of the application whether it is responsible for your application. If the authority is not responsible, it will forward your application to the responsible body immediately. You will be informed of the forwarding. If the authority does not forward your application, it must determine and provide your need for support as quickly as possible.
If an expert opinion is necessary to determine your needs, the authority must decide within 2 weeks of receiving the expert opinion. If the authority does not need to obtain an expert opinion, it will decide within 3 weeks of receiving your application.
The authority to which the application is submitted must determine within two weeks of receipt of the application whether it is responsible for the application. If the authority is not responsible, it forwards the application immediately.
An objection can be lodged against the decisions of the responsible integration assistance providers within one month of the announcement.
After the objection procedure has been concluded by means of an objection decision, an action can be brought before the competent social court within one month of the notification.

- People who are significantly limited by a disability or are significantly threatened by a disability can receive support
- The integration assistance services are intended to improve the living situation of people with (threatened) significant disabilities and to enable them to fully participate in life in society. The extent of the services depends on the individual needs of the beneficiaries.
