You can have the designation of a trade fair, exhibition or market cancelled.

As an organizer, you can apply to have the relevant authority revoke the regulations for your trade fairs, exhibitions or markets.

The cancellation of the regulations for weekly markets, annual markets or folk festivals will only take place if it is unreasonable for you to hold the event.

In the case of trade fairs, exhibitions or wholesale markets, it is also sufficient to notify that the event is not or will no longer take place.

Please provide the following information in your informal application:

• Information about the person organizing the event
• Name of the event
• Address of the event
• Reasons for the repeal

• The event has already been scheduled by the responsible authority.
• The event is one of the following event types:
  • Fair
  • Exhibition
  • Wholesale market
  • Weekly market
  • Special market
  • Fair
• You can only have the appointment of a weekly or annual market or a folk festival cancelled if you cannot be expected to hold it.

There are costs involved. The amount of the costs depends on the type of event and the costs of the assessment. The costs for cancellation are 20% of the costs of the assessment. The costs are usually between 20.00 euros and 300.00 euros.

• You submit an application for cancellation of the scheduling of an event with all necessary documents to the responsible authority by post or email.
