If you want to discharge commercial wastewater into a public wastewater plant or sewer system, you need a permit. Under certain conditions, the competent authority may allow you to start discharging before you have received approval.
If you want to discharge wastewater into a public wastewater plant, you must apply for a permit. If you cannot or do not want to wait until approval is granted, the responsible authority can allow the initiation to begin earlier upon your request.

- If necessary, documents, such as statements, that justify your interest or a public interest in the early start of the initiation
Approval can be granted if:
- You have already applied for the discharge permit and
- a decision in your favor can be expected and
- There is a demonstrable public interest or a legitimate interest on your part in the early start of the initiation and
- You undertake to compensate for any damage caused by the discharge up to the decision and, if the discharge is not approved, to restore the previous condition.
- You submit an application to the responsible office and attach the necessary documents to the application.
- The responsible office will check your application and, if necessary, request any missing documents from you.
- If all factual and legal requirements are met, the responsible authority approves the early start of wastewater discharge.
- You will receive a written acceptance letter from the responsible office.
- You pay the administration fees.
- Apply for an early start to the discharge of wastewater into public wastewater systems.
- An application can be made to start discharging wastewater into a public wastewater plant before the actual discharge permit is issued.
