As a severely disabled person, you can receive support in the form of accompanying assistance in your working life.
Supportive assistance in working life makes it easier for you as a severely disabled person to participate in working life. This support is intended to ensure that you as a severely disabled person are employed in jobs with equal rights, and that you can contribute and develop your skills and knowledge there. You can receive supportive assistance if you are employed, self-employed or a civil servant.
Accompanying assistance can be provided to you
- as technical work aids.
- to reach the workplace.
- to establish and maintain an independent professional existence.
- for the procurement, equipment and maintenance of a disability-accessible apartment.
- to participate in measures to maintain and expand professional knowledge and skills.
- in special life situations.
- as covering the costs of necessary work assistance.

- employment contract, certificate of appointment or proof of self-employment
- Notice of determination by the social security office regarding the recognized disability
- severely disabled person's ID card or equal treatment certificate
