If you receive citizen's allowance and have difficulties finding a job due to your personal life situation, you can take advantage of advice and support services.

Municipal integration services are intended to help you re-enter the labour market or to organise your everyday life in such a way that employment becomes possible.

The responsible authority can, for example, support you with school counseling, psychosocial support and addiction counseling.

• Debt counseling will help you organize your financial situation and pay off your debts in order to improve the conditions for your professional integration.
• Psychosocial support is available if you need support with mental health problems or crisis situations so that your employability can be stabilized again.
• Addiction counseling offers you support regardless of the type or severity of your addiction. This can be general advice about addiction risks, addictive substances or dependency. You can also be supported in finding further support services.

You can also get support for caring for relatives at home, looking after underage children or children with disabilities if these personal obligations prevent you from finding work. For example, if you are looking after children or relatives at home, the responsible body can organize support from third parties so that you can work.

You may need to provide proof that you require a specific service. The responsible authority can inform you accordingly.

• You demonstrably need debt counseling, psychosocial counseling or addiction counseling or
• You need proven support in caring for underage children or children with disabilities or in caring for relatives at home.
• The municipal benefit is necessary for your integration into the labor market.

• You arrange a consultation appointment with the responsible authority.
• The responsible authority will discuss with you whether a municipal integration benefit is possible and what support services can be offered.
• If municipal integration services are possible, the responsible authority will discuss the further procedure with you. If necessary, you will receive the relevant application documents from the responsible authority.
  • If necessary, fill out the documents, attach the required evidence or documents and send them to the responsible authority.
  • You can also submit the application online.
• You will receive a written notification (notice) with the decision on your application.
• If your application is approved, the responsible authority will transfer the reimbursable costs to the account you specified.

Please note, however, that you will need a positive approval notice before you incur any costs, for example for childcare or home care for relatives. The responsible authority will generally not be able to cover costs that you have already incurred before the date of the approval.
