You can register your child for grade 5 at a grammar school at the school of your choice during the so-called registration period. The exact deadlines will be announced by the schools at the end of the year.
You will always receive the registration form at the end of January together with your child's half-yearly report from primary school. You can specify three school preferences on the registration form.
If none of the three preferred schools can accept your child, the child will be enrolled in a school within a reasonable distance from their place of residence.
Many schools invite children and their parents to open days and other events prior to the registration period.
