If you manage a guardianship professionally, you can demand remuneration for it. For guardianships managed on a voluntary basis, this is only possible under certain conditions.
The fee is 23 euros per hour. If the guardian has special knowledge that can be used to manage the guardianship, the hourly rate increases
- to 29.50 euros if his knowledge has been acquired through a completed apprenticeship or comparable completed training;
- to 39 euros if his knowledge has been acquired through completed training at a university or through comparable completed training.
- Any sales tax incurred on the remuneration will be reimbursed additionally.
In the case of professionally managed guardianships, remuneration can be claimed in accordance with the Guardians and Caregivers Remuneration Act.
In the case of voluntary guardianships, a flat-rate expense allowance or reimbursement of expenses required to manage the guardianship may be required.

Guardianship is generally free of charge and voluntary
