Are you experiencing or at risk of homelessness? The responsible housing emergency office will assess your eligibility and, if necessary, can find you emergency accommodation.
If you are affected by or at risk of homelessness, the responsible authority can find you a place in public accommodation.
- Personal documents
- if applicable, residence permit
- Proof of your income and assets
- Declaration of homelessness
- You are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless.
- Your own options for finding accommodation have been exhausted.
- You have German citizenship or a valid residence permit.
- You are entitled to citizen's allowance or basic security or only have a low income.
- You contact the responsible authority to submit your application.
- The responsible authority will review your application documents.
- It decides on your entitlement to public accommodation.
- If the need is recognized, it is reported to "Fördern und Wohnen" (f&w).
- F&w looks for a place and reports it to the responsible office.
- You will receive all necessary information about your accommodation and an assignment.
Your application will be processed promptly. However, the allocation of a specific place depends on the individual case.
If you are homeless and are not or have not been registered in Hamburg, please contact the specialist office for housing emergencies in the Hamburg-Mitte district office.
