If you want to change the operator of a medium-sized combustion plant, gas turbine, or internal combustion engine, you must notify the responsible emissions control authority.

If you wish to change the operator of a medium-sized combustion plant, gas turbine or combustion engine plant, you must notify the competent authority in advance.
The notification obligation generally applies to all combustion plants, whether subject to authorisation or not, with a thermal output of at least 1 MW and less than 50 MW.
For aggregated combustion plants, you must notify the planned commissioning if the combined thermal input is more than 1 MW and less than 50 MW.

Complete written or electronic notification

You would like to change the operator of a medium-sized combustion, gas turbine or combustion engine plant.

• You submit your notification to the responsible authority in writing or electronically.
• The responsible authority will examine your notification and request further documents if necessary.
• After receiving the notification and the complete documentation, the responsible authority will update the information about your facility in the facility register.

There is no legally specified processing time.

Notify the change of operator immediately, but no later than within one month.

You are committing an administrative offence if you do not submit the report, do not submit it correctly, do not submit it completely, do not submit it in the prescribed manner or do not submit it on time.

No legal remedy is provided.
