Schengen - Visum Verlängerung

Have you entered Germany with a Schengen visa for visiting or business purposes ("C visa") and need to extend your visa?
Please note the following points:

A visa can be extended if the existence of force majeure, humanitarian reasons or serious personal reasons are proven and these prevent timely departure. In these cases, the extended visa remains valid for the entire Schengen area.

If there are other important personal reasons that do not necessarily prevent you from leaving the country on time, the visa may be extended as a so-called national visa. This visa is then only valid for Germany.

• Travel document

  Valid travel document, which is still valid 3 months after the planned departure.

• Health Insurance

  proof of health insurance for the intended duration of the stay

• Proof of livelihood

  Proof of securing livelihood for the intended duration of the stay.
  E.g. declaration of commitment by a person living in the Federal territory.

• Proof of financing of the departure

  E.g. flight ticket

• Other evidence

  Other evidence to support the reasons given.
  E.g. medical certificates, certificates for flight cancellations.

• Valid travel document with a validity period of at least 3 months after the planned departure.
• Health insurance cover
• Secured livelihood for the duration of the intended stay
• Financing of the departure
• Proof of the stated reason
