Every two years, low-income families from Bremen can submit an application to the Daniel Schnakenberg Foundation for a subsidy for a recreational measure .
The Bremen Daniel Schnakenberg Foundation promotes the participation of Bremen families, children and young people in family camps run by non-profit organisations.
To be promoted:
- Families with at least one child (up to the age of 17)
- Single parents with at least one child (up to the age of 17), who take part in family camps run by non-profit organisations or in a recreational measure in a recognised family holiday centre in Germany. The recovery measures may not exceed 21 days and may not be split in the calendar year.
Grants for family recreation can only be awarded within the limits of the funds available.
The total income of the family or of the applicant is determined by means of the application form and the relevant supporting documents. The amount of the allowance is calculated on the basis of net income. The calculation is made within the limits of the family income eligible for the allowance, in accordance with the calculation table.
The maximum subsidy is 15 Euro per day and person.
