To borrow media from the Bremerhaven City Library, you need a library card.

The Bremerhaven City Library offers a wide range of media in the central library in the Hanse Carré and the branch in Leherheide. To borrow media, you need a library card.

The use of the library on site is free of charge and also possible without a library card.

• Valid identity card or photo ID with certificate of registration

  For children and young people: Copy or presentation of a valid identity card or photo ID with certificate of registration from a parent or guardian.

To apply for a library card, you need a valid ID card or a photo ID with a certificate of registration. For children and young people up to the age of 16, we also require a written declaration of consent from a parent or guardian.

You can obtain the ID card at the Central Library in the Hanse Carré and at the Leherheide District Library. Please bring a valid identity card or photo ID with certificate of registration.

Please fill out a registration form on site.

Children and young people up to the age of 16 also need the signature of a parent or guardian. The parent or guardian must also bring a valid identity card or photo ID with certificate of registration.
