A child was born in your facility? Then you must report this to the relevant registry office. You can find out more about this here.
In the case of births in hospitals and other facilities where obstetric care is provided, the facility is required to report the birth.
If a child was born in your facility, you must report this to the competent registry office. The responsibility for this depends on the place where the child was born.
- The child whose birth is to be reported to the relevant registry office was born at your institution.
You can send the birth notification to the relevant registry office in writing by post or via the online service (initially only for a restricted group of users).
- If a child has been born in your facility, send the notification of birth to the registry office responsible for the child's place of birth within one week.
- The registry office Bremen-Mitte is responsible for births in the clinics:
- Left of the Weser
- St.-Joseph-Stift
- Klinikum Mitte
- Diako
- Bremen-East
- As well as for the birth centers in Bremen-City
- The Bremen-North registry office is responsible for births:
- In the Bremen-North Clinic
- In the birth centers in Bremen North
The birth must be reported within one week at the registry office responsible for the place of birth. The day of birth is not included in the calculation of the notification period.
If the child is stillborn, the notification must be made no later than the third working day after the birth at the registry office responsible for the place of birth.
