In Bremen, state recognition is granted by the Senatorial Authority for Children and Education - Department 31 - provided that you are a graduate of the degree course in subject-related educational sciences with a focus on elementary education (Bachelor of Arts) at the University of Bremen and have provided proof of professional aptitude in a one-year internship or proof of practical professional experience.

State recognition is granted after passing a colloquium. Admission to the colloquium is granted on application if all the necessary evidence has been provided.

If you wish to have professional activities credited to the internship, you can submit the application for crediting to Department 31 following the activity.

You will receive an application for admission to the colloquium from Unit 31 in good time, which you then submit with the colloquium report. Once you have successfully passed the colloquium, you will be awarded state recognition.
