Have you applied for a permit for an installation that requires approval? If so, you can also apply to the competent authority for permission to begin construction of the facility ahead of schedule.

The competent authority can revoke the permit at any time. In addition, the approval may be subject to conditions or granted conditionally if you still have to meet certain requirements. The conditions are intended to ensure that the installation can be dismantled if it is not approved. To this end, the competent authority may require you to provide security. Collateral can be, for example, the deposit of money or securities as well as guarantees.

• The competent authority must be able to adequately assess the impact of the planned installation from the application and the required documents.
• Your application must demonstrate a legitimate interest in the early start.
• As the applicant, you must undertake to compensate for all damage caused by the premature construction up to the time of the decision and, if the project is not approved, to restore it to its previous state.

• In the application for approval, please indicate that you are also applying for approval for early commencement
• The competent authority will decide whether to approve the early start.
• You will receive a notice of approval or rejection.
