To change the address of your electronic proof of identity, you must come in person to the registration office responsible for you at your new place of residence.

• Your local authority will store your new address on the chip in your ID card.

If your address has changed due to an electronic registration of residence, your new address will be automatically transferred from the residents' register to the chip in your ID card.

You can only change the address on the chip of your ID card online if you register a new place of residence at the same time.
