The procedure pilots "guide" children and young people (and their relatives) through the integration assistance benefit system. They provide support with applications and the realization of entitlements and rights.

The procedural pilots have the task of informing and advising young people with an (impending) disability and their legal guardians and accompanying them through the application process with various authorities.

The procedure pilots also support the youth welfare offices in preparing for "inclusive child and youth welfare".

From January 1, 2028, all assistance for young people with and without disabilities is to be brought together under the "umbrella of youth welfare".

• Documents for the consultation

  If available, important documents such as approval and/or rejection notices from authorities, certificates of a degree of care or a diagnosis can be brought along to the consultation.

Young people under the age of 27 who are or may be entitled to integration assistance due to an (impending) disability are entitled to the support of the procedural pilots.

The counseling requirement is therefore not only aimed at children and young people, i.e. minors, but also at the group of "young adults".

The service is also aimed at the legal representatives of young people.

It should be emphasized that the right to support and guidance does not require that an existing or impending disability has already been diagnosed.
