Here you will find information about deregistering your child from the after-school care center.

After-school care centers provide care, education and educational support for school children until the end of elementary school. This means that there is more than just lunch and supervision with homework. It is also about group experiences, skills for building social relationships, cooperation, leisure activities, creativity and much more. The children are involved in the planning and organization of the daily routine in the after-school care center and the educational program.

An after-school care fee must be paid in advance for each of your children registered for after-school care. Your income and the number of your children will be taken into account appropriately.

The child is registered for after-school care with a parents' association, private commercial provider or in day care in Bremen.

Parents' associations or private commercial providers:

• The parents discuss the deregistration with the childcare facility.
• They enter the early termination in the Kitaplaner.
• This informs the parental contribution office of the change.
• Facilities that do not participate in the Kitaplaner send a written confirmation by email.
• Parents can also send a written confirmation to the parental contribution office.
• Parents will receive a notification of change.

Day care:

• The parents discuss the deregistration with the day carer.
• The childminder forwards the notification to Pflegekinder in Bremen (PiB).
• PiB reports the deregistration to the parental contribution office.
• The parents receive a notification of change.
