Your child attends an all-day elementary school in the city of Bremen and you would like to register your child for vacation care at the school. Registration is necessary for this.
The open and tied all-day elementary school in the municipality of Bremen offer vacation care for a fee. Vacation care takes place during the Easter vacations, the fall vacations, the Christmas vacations from January 2 until the start of classes and up to 3 weeks during the summer vacations.
Registration for vacation care is voluntary.
By registering, parents/guardians commit to their child's participation for one calendar year. In order to be able to plan requirements, the child must be registered at the school by January 31st for the entire calendar year.
Only all-day pupils of the respective all-day school whose single parent or both parents or guardians are employed during the respective vacations or during the respective school year or are in training or retraining and are therefore regularly absent during the care period can be registered for vacation care.
In order for your child to take part in the vacation care, you must transfer the cost contribution at least 6 weeks before the respective vacation.
15 EUR to 120 EUR per week for 2 or more children.
The amount depends on your gross annual income including child benefit. Please transfer the fee 6 weeks before the vacation. Childcare will only be provided if the amount has been received 6 weeks in advance.
- If your child's school is an all-day school, you will receive an initial information letter about vacation care at the start of school.
- If you would like to register your child for paid vacation care, please contact the office of your child's school at the beginning of January.
- There you will receive the application form. Fill it out and return it to the secretary's office.
- Submit the required documents.
- The secretary's office will add your child to a list which will be sent to the Senator for Children and Education.
- After the registration deadline, the Senator for Children and Education will determine by February 15, based on the number of registrations, at which locations the vacation care will take place and how many groups there will be.
- If there are fewer places available than the number of registrations received by the deadline, the decision will be made by drawing lots. If there are still places available in the vacation care 3 weeks before the start of the respective vacation, all-day pupils who have registered late and half-day pupils from the respective all-day school can also be accepted.
- You will be informed in writing if your child has been allocated a place in the vacation care program. In the letter you will also find important information about paying the contribution. The payment of the cost contribution for vacation care must be received at least 6 weeks before the start of the vacation. If the fee is not paid on time, your child will lose the right to a place in the vacation care program.
- Cancellations of vacation care must be notified to the school in good time before the start of the vacation. If the child does not attend without having been deregistered in good time before the start of the vacation, a refund of the amount paid is generally not possible.
