The Municipality of Bremerhaven supports companies, business premises and organizations with up to 500 employees and a permanent establishment in Bremerhaven if 1 more training place is provided than the average of the past 5 years. The aim is to create up to 25 additional training places per year in the city of Bremerhaven.
The amount of municipal funding is determined by the notification submitted regarding the compensatory allocation or exemption from payment. In addition to a compensatory allocation from the training support fund, it can be topped up to the maximum funding amount of EUR 2,000 or, in the case of exemption from payment, EUR 2,000 per training year. Up to EUR 6,000 can be granted for a three-year training period and up to EUR 7,000 for a three-and-a-half-year training period.
Partnerships (sole proprietorship, OHG, KG) and legal entities under private law are eligible to apply.
Legal entities under public law are excluded from funding, as are companies in which legal entities under public law hold a majority stake.
Funding can only be provided for additionally created in-company training places in recognized training occupations in accordance with the Vocational Training Act or the Crafts Code (Handwerksordnung).
Funding can be provided for training relationships that begin no earlier than 01.08.2024 and no later than 31.12.2025.
The application must be submitted before the training contract is concluded and the training begins.
The municipal funding is exclusively for the funding of an additional training position in a company.
The applicant sends the informal application for a grant to promote in-company vocational training to Bremerhaven Municipal Council, Office for Municipal Labor Market Policy, Postfach 21 03 60, 27524 Bremerhaven, together with the documents listed under "Required documents".
The grant notification can only be issued once all documents required for processing have been submitted and the eligibility requirements have been met.
