Bremen's municipal waste disposal service collects Christmas trees on separate dates in January. You can find the dates in your waste calendar. If you are not there on your collection day or you want to leave your Christmas tree for longer, you can also drop off your Christmas tree free of charge at the recycling stations. Please remove any tree decorations such as tinsel or Christmas tree baubles in advance.
- Official proof of identity or fee notice (original)
In justified cases, the joint presentation of the official proof of identity and the fee notice may be requested.
- Declaration of waste origin
Upon request, the deliverers must sign a declaration stating their name, address including telephone number and presenting official proof of identity, in which the exact private origin of the waste and/or recyclables is stated and confirmed.
- The delivery of waste and recyclable materials is only permitted with vehicles with a permissible total weight of up to 3.5 tons.
- All tree decorations such as tinsel or Christmas tree baubles must be removed beforehand.
- The Christmas tree comes from a private household that is connected to the municipal waste disposal system.
- Christmas trees can be handed in at the recycling stations and the Findorff green station.
- You can also put your Christmas tree out for collection. A date is available for all households. You can find this in the Bremen waste calendar.
Transport packaging and containers must be taken back by the deliverers. The waste, recyclable materials and hazardous substances become the property of Bremer Stadtreinigung when they are placed in the collection bins/containers or handed over to the operating personnel.
This also applies if they have already been unloaded or secured. The deliverers are obliged to provide information about the origin of the waste and/or recyclables they deliver.
The station's operating personnel are authorized to inspect all waste delivered and to reject waste, recyclable materials and hazardous substances, even if they have already been unloaded.
