Ausnahme vom Sonntagsfahrverbot Genehmigung

Trucks over 7.5 tons and trucks with trailers are prohibited from driving between midnight and 10 p.m. on Sundays and public holidays. Certain types of transport are legally exempt from the ban.

Trucks with a total mass of more than 7.5 tons and trucks with trailers are not allowed to drive on the entire route network in Germany on Sundays and public holidays between 00:00 and 22:00. You can apply for a special permit.

• The documents required depend on the individual case.

  To find out which documents are required, please contact the Bremerhaven road traffic authority.

• An exemption is only granted for journeys that are absolutely necessary. You must justify the urgency accordingly.
• Reasons for these journeys could be, for example, the following: participation in tournaments, trade fair stand operators, events, scheduled goods in meeting traffic.
• We reserve the right to examine individual cases.

• Apply for an exemption permit from the Bremerhaven road traffic authority

An application can be submitted (in each case with the relevant evidence)

• by post or
• in person. At the road traffic authority during opening hours without an appointment.

The exemption permits are sent together with the corresponding invoice.
