Once you have completed your training with an examination, you will receive a certificate of completion.

With an advanced training examination in accordance with the Vocational Training Act, you can acquire higher qualifications in several advanced training levels.

After passing the examination, you will receive a certificate that contains the qualification title of the respective advanced training level. These can be, for example Bachelor Professional or Master Professional.

In the case of a two-part final examination, you must be notified in writing of your examination results from the first part if the parts are legally independent.

You can request that an English-language and a French-language translation be attached to your certificate. You can also request a duplicate.

• You have completed the training course
• You have passed the advanced training examination

The duplicate of the certificate and a foreign-language translation are subject to a fee.

In order to receive further copies of your certificate, you must apply for a duplicate of your certificate.

• You will usually receive the provisional results of the written examination before you take the last oral or practical examination.
• If you have taken part in all parts of the advanced training examination, you will usually receive notification immediately as to whether you have passed the advanced training examination.
• Once your overall result has been determined by the examination board, it will be sent to the relevant authority. Your examination certificate will then be issued and sent to you.

• Ask your chamber about the procedure for requesting a translation
• Submit a request for a translation

The processing time depends on the office responsible in each case

• Advanced training examination according to BBiG Certification
• Examination at the end of the training
• Subsequently: Preparation of examination certificate and dispatch to examination participants
• Application for certification must only be made if:
  • French or English translation of the certificate required
  • A duplicate of the certificate is required
• After passing the examination: trainees may use the title of their qualification. These can be, for example
  • Certified professional specialist, technical advisor and service technician
  • Bachelor Professional, Master Craftsman or Master Craftswoman, as well as Business Administrator or Specialist Assistant

• • Master Professional and business economist
• Responsible: as a rule, one responsible chamber
  • Exception: otherwise determined by the state or federal government
  • Exception: training has to take place under the responsibility of the public service or religious communities under public law

Contact the chamber responsible for your vocational training. This can be

• the Chamber of Industry and Commerce for vocational training in non-trade professions,
• the Chamber of Skilled Crafts for vocational training in professions under the Crafts Code,
• the Chamber of Agriculture for vocational training in agricultural and rural domestic professions
• the Chamber of Lawyers, Patent Attorneys and Notaries as well as the Notary's Office for the vocational training of specialists in the field of law,
• the Chamber of Auditors and the Chamber of Tax Consultants for the vocational training of professionals in the field of auditing and tax consultancy,
• the Chambers of Physicians, Dentists, Veterinarians and Pharmacists for the vocational training of healthcare professionals.

There are other competent bodies, for example for bodies in the area of public law and the churches.
