Are you a company or an organization and would like to use radio communications for a short time at an event, such as a concert or trade fair? Then you need to apply to the Federal Network Agency for frequencies for short-term use.
The Federal Network Agency (BNetzA) is responsible for managing the frequency spectrum in Germany. This means that it regulates and coordinates the use of radio frequencies by various services, including satellite communications.
In Germany, every frequency use requires prior frequency allocation. If you have a frequency requirement for a maximum usage period of 30 consecutive days because, for example
- a concert
- a sporting event,
- a trade fair or similar
you must apply to the BNetzA for a simplified frequency allocation. This is also referred to as short-term frequency assignment.
You submit the application online, by e-mail or by post to the BNetzA branch office responsible for you. For the written application by post or e-mail, you can use a form or alternatively submit the application informally.
Frequency allocation for short-term use is limited to the events and their locations specified in the application.
Special application procedures are required for some major events or series of events, such as motor sport series and cycle races. In such cases, please contact the BNetzA by e-mail or visit the BNetzA website before submitting your application.
