The nationwide helpline "Violence against Women" on the toll-free number 08000 116 016 provides initial and crisis support. In the event of violence against women, advice and help is available around the clock, seven days a week, anonymously, in a total of 18 languages, barrier-free.
If you are a woman affected by physical or psychological violence, the helpline offers you free initial advice and information on possible help. The helpline is aimed in particular at
- Women who are affected or threatened by violence,
- People from the social environment of women who are affected or threatened by violence,
- People who are confronted with violence against women in the course of their professional or voluntary work, e.g. counseling, support or intervention.
The help hotline is barrier-free and multilingual. You will receive telephone advice, information and, if necessary, referral to local support facilities by qualified female specialists. Help is anonymous and confidential and is also offered by e-mail and chat. Advice is also available in German sign language.
