Outpatient care services care for people in need of care in their homes within a certain catchment area and provide support with household errands.

Due to the group of people that the care service is supposed to look after, high demands are placed on the foundation.

As an outpatient care service, you must also be available around the clock.

Your care service is considered licensed as soon as you have concluded a care contract with the care insurance funds. This regulates which services you provide, to what extent and how large your catchment area is.

• You or someone you employ is a trained care professional.
• You or someone you employ has completed an additional qualification as a care service manager (PDL) or a degree in care management.
• You have practical professional experience in the trained profession of at least 2 years within the last 8 years.
• You must appoint a deputy responsible person who also fulfills the above requirements.
• Registration with the Employer's Liability Insurance Association for Health Services and Welfare Care (BGW).

First of all, you must take all the necessary steps to set up a business. If you fulfill all the requirements for an outpatient care service and the documents are available, submit an application to the coordination office of the Saxony-Anhalt state associations of long-term care insurance funds (AOK Saxony-Anhalt long-term care insurance fund).

As the review process for health insurance approval is very extensive and complex, you should allow enough time for it and prepare well.

You can obtain the IK number by submitting an informal application to the Collection and Distribution Center (SVI) of the Working Group for Institutional Identifiers.

After approval, inspections are carried out at regular intervals by the Medical Service. This involves checking whether you comply with the quality standards for care.
