You must apply for a new ID card after theft in person:
- You make an appointment at your local citizens' office.
- You bring the necessary documents with you.
- You pay the fee.
- When you apply, your Citizens' Registration Office will inform you when you can collect your ID card.
- You will receive a new transport PIN by letter to make your online ID function ready for use with the newly requested ID card. You decide when you want to use this option.
You must apply for a new ID card as soon as possible after the theft if you do not have another valid ID document.
