To ensure that health and safety can be monitored during extensive construction projects, the relevant authorities must be notified in good time. According to the Construction Site Ordinance (BaustellV), advance notice is required for any construction site where

• the expected duration of the work is more than 30 working days and on which more than 20 employees will be working at the same time or
• the scope of the work is expected to exceed 500 person days.

The authority must be provided with the minimum information on the prescribed form at least two weeks before the construction site is set up.

The advance notice must be visibly displayed on the construction site and adapted in the event of significant changes.

Attention! If employees of several employers are working on the construction site or if particularly hazardous work is being carried out, a health and safety plan must be drawn up.
