If you take on trainees as a recognized training company, these training relationships must be registered with the relevant chamber.
In order to regulate, monitor, promote and provide evidence of vocational training in recognized training occupations, the Chamber of Skilled Crafts keeps a register of existing vocational training relationships in its area of responsibility, also known as the apprenticeship register.
Every skilled crafts company that takes on an apprentice must conclude a training contract with the apprentice and submit it to the relevant Chamber of Skilled Crafts. The Chamber of Skilled Crafts checks whether the training contract complies with the statutory regulations and the training ordinance and whether the company is authorized to train apprentices. If these requirements are met, the Chamber enters the vocational training contract in the apprenticeship register.
The Chamber of Skilled Crafts advises trainees, legal guardians and training companies on the following topics:
- Apprenticeships in the skilled trades
- Necessary formalities for entry in the apprenticeship register
- Certificates for training relationships
- Information on extending or shortening the vocational training period
- funding opportunities
- Questions about training authorization
Registration is free of charge for the trainee.
For the training company, registration fees are charged in accordance with the list of fees and charges of the relevant Chamber of Skilled Crafts.
