As an employer, have you granted your employees time off for training? Then you can apply for reimbursement of costs.
If you as an employer grant your employees time off for training purposes, you can have the costs reimbursed.
- the employment or training relationship has existed for at least six months
- there are no urgent operational reasons to the contrary.
- it is a recognized vocational or socio-political training event in accordance with the Rhineland-Palatinate Education and Training Leave Act.
- Your employee has registered for further training at a recognized training event and has applied to you in writing for training leave in good time.
- You submit the application for reimbursement on time.
- You will then receive a preliminary decision.
- After your employee has taken part in the training event, you submit the confirmation of participation you have received, including the application for payment, to the responsible office.
- You will then receive a final decision on the reimbursement of costs from the responsible office.
As an employer, you must generally submit the application for reimbursement to the responsible office at least four weeks before the start of the relevant event.
Further information on educational leave, recognized continuing education events, the legal basis and application forms can be found on the website of the Rhineland-Palatinate State Office for Social Affairs, Youth and Care.
There is no entitlement to time off if you as an employer do not normally employ more than five people on a permanent basis.
In this case, however, training leave should be granted, taking into account operational or official interests.
As an employer with fewer than 50 employees, you can apply for a lump-sum reimbursement of the salary to be continued during training leave.
Educational leave is a legal entitlement for employees to participate in recognized further training events vis-à-vis you as the employer. In this context, you can apply for reimbursement after the end of the training event.
As an employer, please contact the responsible Rhineland-Palatinate State Office for Social Affairs, Youth and Care to apply for reimbursement of costs.
The necessary application forms can be found on the website of the Rhineland-Palatinate State Office for Social Affairs, Youth and Care.
