You can apply to have your property removed from the land register if you are exempt from the registration obligation.
Each piece of land is given a special place in the land register (land register sheet). In principle, every piece of land must be registered in the land register.
Certain properties are exempt from this booking requirement, for example properties owned by the federal government, states, municipalities, churches or public roads.
A property that is exempt from the registration requirement but is already registered in the land register can be removed from the land register at the request of the owner, i.e. can be written off. This assumes that there are no encumbrances on the property. Encumbrances include, for example, mortgages, land charges, rights of way or other rights.
