If you do not want to compost leaves, grass or shrub cuttings yourself, you can dispose of them as garden waste at the recycling and green waste stations.
Garden waste up to a maximum of 1 m³ per delivery can be handed in at all recycling stations and green stations. Tree trunks and stumps over 10 cm are only accepted at the Blockland station. Garden waste over 1 m³ is subject to a charge and can only be disposed of at the Blockland recycling station.
This is garden waste:
- Windfall fruit, leaves, grass, tree and shrub cuttings
- Tree trunks or stumps - everything up to 10 centimeters in diameter and a maximum length of 2 meters
This is not garden waste:
- Kitchen waste, construction timber (e.g. fences, palisades, sandboxes), animal litter, turf, stones and soil
- Official proof of identity or fee notice (original)
In justified cases, the joint presentation of the official proof of identity and the fee notice may be requested.
- Declaration of waste origin
Upon request, the deliverers must sign a declaration stating their name, address including telephone number and presenting official proof of identity, in which the exact private origin of the waste and/or recyclables is stated and confirmed.
- The green waste comes from a private household that is connected to the municipal waste disposal system.
- The delivery of waste and recyclable materials is only permitted with vehicles with a permissible total weight of up to 3.5 tons
- The delivery of waste and recyclable materials must be sorted by type and free from harmful contamination and adhesions.
For quantities over 1 m³, an additional €20 will be charged for each additional cubic meter or part thereof.
- You can drop off garden waste at all recycling and green stations.
- Please deliver the garden waste in such a way that it can be safely loaded into the container by one person using the stairs (e.g. in bags, baskets or cardboard boxes).
- Transport containers that are wider than the container steps or can only be transported by two people will be rejected for safety reasons.
- Garden waste transported on open tarpaulins will also not be accepted.
Tip: Compost garden waste in your own garden. This allows you to produce your own compost and avoid transportation to the recycling and green stations.
