The written appointment of a responsible person must be reported to the competent authority. The person must have a valid certificate of competence for handling explosives.
As the owner of a company that is permitted to handle or trade in explosive substances, you must appoint a responsible person in writing. The name, address and date of birth of the responsible person appointed in writing must be notified to the competent authority without delay. The responsible persons to be considered are defined. The expiry of an appointment must also be reported.
The person appointed in writing must be in possession of a valid official certificate of competence. A certificate of competence is a permit to work with explosives.
You can make this notification in writing or with the help of an online service.
In writing:
- There is no special form for the notification. Under certain circumstances, the responsible persons may have already been notified to the competent authority before the start of operations when a required permit was issued or when the company was notified.
- Changes are communicated by means of an informal written declaration.
- In the written notification, the first and last name, address and date of birth of the person responsible are provided.
- Upon receipt of the notification, the authority checks the responsibility and, if it is not responsible, forwards the application to another authority.
- In the event of a need for correction, rectification is requested.
- Once the corrections have been made, the notification is checked again by the authority.
- Finally, the notification is archived on a company-specific basis.
Application in the online service:
- In the online service, please make the relevant entries via the responsible person or persons.
- The notification is automatically forwarded to the responsible authority after submission.
- In the event of a need for correction, you will be asked for rectification.
- Once the corrections have been made, the notification is checked again by the authority.

The appointment or termination of the appointment of a responsible person must be reported immediately to the competent authority.
